Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… You?!
You and your friends are superheroes, powerful members of a virtuous guild (legally distinct for legal reasons) reminiscent of the Justice League or the Avengers. You spend your days soaring through the skies, catching plummeting planes, plucking kittens out of trees, and foiling your arch-nemesis as they try burning down an orphanage or stealing forty cakes for the umpteenth time this week. All seems well and good in the world, as long as you’re there to protect it…
But being a superpowered demi-god isn’t all its cracked up to be, and if it’s not the capricious whims of the public, your increasingly obtrusive management company adding stress to your plate, or your ever fraying personal relationships in your private life, it’s the newest supervillain that’s making the rounds getting into your ear. They keep saying that the world doesn’t need to be protected… it needs to be corrected. Fixed.
They’re insane of course… Except, there is a small part of you, growing ever louder, that wonders if they might not have a point…
