Hello, friends, awakened and sleeper alike! Given the news regarding the departure of Hunger dice mechanics in the 6th Edition of the World of Darkness, we thought it might be fun to close our eyes for a few hours and dream together of what might have been. Luckily, some amazing fans have done the hard work porting the rules over, so we get to do the fun part and roll the dice on a dream that, with any luck, will turn into a delightful nightmare.
…
Take on the mantle of awakened Mages, the powerful and reality-warping denizens of the World of Darkness.
Except… instead of poring over a dusty tome of spells in a library, chanting curses around a bubbling cauldron in a midnight forest, or even pulling the knife-switch in a mad scientist’s lab as lightning crackles overhead, you and your cabal are… slipping on ties and commuting to the office for your soul-sucking 9 to 5?!
And when I say soul-sucking, I mean soul-sucking. As in, literally, everything in the office, from the water cooler, to the printer, to the coffee maker, seems to be doing it’s best to kill you and devour your soul. Worse yet, you can’t quite seem to remember who you are or how you got to the office. Or ever applying for this job in the first place for that matter.
You better work it out fast, because your employee performance review is right around the corner, and if you don’t find a way to move the needle, create synergy, and make a lateral transition out of this workplace, you might end up stuck here permanently.
