What happens when you take the classic and spine-tingling good time that is Dread, and add super-powers to the mix? Join us at the table and we’ll find out together in this homebrew adventure that promises to be equal parts chaos, fun, and… dreadful!
Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… It’s… It’s not you?!
No, of course it’s not you. Soaring through the sky, catching plummeting planes and plucking kittens out of trees — that’s for superheroes with superpowers, and you definitely don’t have any of those. You’re an average, everyday Jo. You happen to work for the public facing office of a world-leading virtuous guild, legally distinct but reminiscent of the Justice League or the Avengers, and while you may spend your nights dreaming about what it might be like to repel an alien invasion from Mars or smack the weird rich guy that keeps trying to steal forty cakes from the local cake factory, you spend your days with your nose down to the grind, unclogging toilets, filing an endless barrage of legal documents, and making sure that the hero’s cape and mask requisition forms are all filled out properly…
And then, suddenly, one day it all changes. POW! BIFF! WHAM! BAMF! SNIKT! THWIP! There’s been a terrible accident! You emerge from the smoking ruin changed. Empowered. Super!
The power flowing through your arms, lighting your muscles and nerves aflame, it’s nascent and immature. Weak. But you sense it has the potential to grow. With great power comes great responsibility, and you might yet become the greatest superhero yet.
…
Or the greatest supervillain.
